Behind The Lens

I’m Jen, a Swansea wedding photographer capturing relaxed, natural moments across the Gower and South Wales.

If you’re planning a wedding, love being outdoors, and want photos that feel like you (not stiff or staged), you’re in the right place.

Dogs, horses and muddy boots are always welcome.

Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming.

My job isn’t just to take photos. It’s to help you feel calm, supported, and able to enjoy your day while I capture the real moments as they unfold

I’m animal mad, happiest outdoors, and never without a cuppa in hand. If that sounds like your kind of person, click below to learn more.

Wedding Photography For Real People

“But Jen… we’re awkward and hate being in front of the camera!”

Pretty much every couple I’ve ever photographed.

Here’s the thing: it’s not about posing perfectly, it’s about how you feel.

When you’re relaxed, having fun, and trust your photographer, it shows in every single photo.

Most people aren’t naturally comfortable being photographed (you’re not alone!), and that’s exactly why I approach things the way I do.

Yes, we’ll still capture a few of those classic family shots- the ones your nan will love for the mantelpiece but that’s just a tiny part of your day.

The rest? It’s about real moments, real laughs, and making the whole experience genuinely enjoyable.

How much does it cost?

I believe wedding photography should be simple, transparent, and stress-free. That’s why all of my pricing is upfront, with no hidden costs or surprises along the way. My packages are designed to be affordable while still giving you everything you need to capture your day beautifully, so you can focus on celebrating without worrying about the fine print.

Jen photographed my wedding and was an absolute star. She is truly the full package and everything you would want in a photographer. The photographs are absolutely incredible - we are so happy with them - and Jen took them all in the laid back style we wanted. She directed all the photos perfectly whilst managing to stay on the sidelines. We barely noticed her but she captured every moment. Jen was flexible to the timings and style we wanted and even went down in advance to scope out photo locations for us.

FAQ – Booking a Photoshoot in Swansea for People, Pets & Weddings

1. How do I book a photoshoot in Swansea?

You can book by filling out my contact form or sending me a message directly. I’ll get back to you with available dates, package details, and location suggestions. Whether you’re looking for a Swansea wedding photographer, a family photoshoot, or pet portraits, the booking process is quick and simple.

2. Do you photograph both people and animals?

Absolutely! I specialise in photographing humans and their furry (or hoofed!) friends — from family sessions with your dog to wedding portraits with pets. Many couples choose to include their animals in their big day, and as a wedding photographer in Swansea, I love capturing those moments.

3. Where will the photoshoot take place?

I offer photoshoots across Swansea, the Gower PeninsulaMumbles, and surrounding areas in South Wales. Popular spots include Rhossili Bay, Three Cliffs Bay, Clyne Gardens, and local wedding venues. If you’re planning your big day, I can recommend stunning locations for wedding photography in Swansea and beyond.

4. How long does a photoshoot last?

Most sessions last 60–90 minutes, giving plenty of time for everyone (including pets) to relax. For weddings, I offer half-day and full-day coverage to capture every special moment.

5. What should we wear for the photoshoot?

Choose comfortable outfits in neutral or complementary colours. Avoid large logos or neon tones. If animals are involved, think about colours that will look good next to their fur or coat. For weddings, I can offer guidance on creating a cohesive look for your wedding party.

6. Can my dog or horse be included in the shoot?

Yes! I love including animals in photoshoots and weddings. Dogs should be comfortable around people and kept on a lead if necessary (I can edit leads out afterwards). Horses should be groomed beforehand for best results.

7. What if the weather is bad on the day?

Don’t worry — if it’s heavy rain or unsafe conditions, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. For weddings, I always have a backup photography plan so we can still create stunning images whatever the weather.

8. How far in advance should I book?

For weekends and golden hour slots, I recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance. If you’re booking me as your Swansea wedding photographer, popular summer and autumn wedding dates can book up a year or more ahead.

9. How will I receive my photos?

Your images will be delivered via a secure online gallery where you can view, download, and share them. Wedding clients also receive a keepsake USB and the option to order luxury albums.

10. Do you travel outside Swansea?

Yes! I cover Neath, Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Brecon, Bristol and beyond. Whether it’s a destination wedding or a countryside family shoot, I’m happy to travel to capture your story.
