A Beautiful Ceremony at St Illtyd's Church, Oxwich
Nestled in the heart of the Gower, St Illtyd's Church provided the most beautiful setting for Hannah & Lewis to say "I do."
The church has so much character and history, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere that suited their day perfectly. With their closest family gathered around them, every moment felt meaningful.
There were plenty of happy tears, smiles, and emotional glances exchanged throughout the ceremony, which is exactly the kind of moments I love capturing.
Intimate Oxwich Wedding with Their Grandparents and German Shepherd by Their Side
Some wedding days remind you exactly what weddings are all about, and Hannah & Lewis' beautiful Oxwich wedding was one of them.
Their vision was simple: get married surrounded by the people who matter most. No huge guest list, no pressure, just an intimate celebration where their grandparents could witness their vows and their beloved German Shepherd could be part of the day too.
And honestly? It couldn't have been more perfect.
A Wedding Where Nobody Was Left Out
One of my favourite things about Hannah & Lewis' wedding was how intentional every decision felt.
Their grandparents were able to comfortably enjoy and witness every part of the day, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
And then there was their gorgeous German Shepherd, who naturally stole the show more than once.
As a dog-loving wedding photographer, I will never get tired of seeing couples include their four-legged family members in their wedding day. They bring so much personality, joy and genuine emotion to the photographs.
When the Gower Weather Had Other Plans
If you've ever spent time on the Gower, you'll know one thing: the weather likes to keep you guessing.
The original plan was to pop down to the beach after the ceremony for a celebratory champagne moment overlooking the sea. It sounded idyllic... until the famous Gower weather decided to make an appearance, we did however still get some lush portraits where we went for a 5 minute stroll to the beach.
Instead, the champagne was poured inside St Illtyd's Church, creating a completely different atmosphere that ended up looking incredibly cool. The stone walls, beautiful light and historic surroundings gave the photos a timeless, editorial feel that you simply couldn't have planned.
It's one of those perfect example
Planning an Intimate Wedding in Gower?
If you're dreaming of a relaxed, meaningful wedding in Gower, whether that's at Oxwich, a local church, on the beach, or somewhere completely unique, I'd love to hear about your plans.
And remember if the weather changes your plans on the day, don't panic. Some of the most memorable photographs come from embracing whatever the day throws at us.
Sometimes Plan B ends up being even better than Plan A. 🤍
